The idea of softly falling can be comforting. It contrasts what many of us fear--the hard fall! Consider the different ways one can "fall". We can, for instance, fall softly into a comfortable sofa or warm bed--or gently into someone's arms. Or, one's eyes may softly fall onto the face of someone dearly loved.
