The speaker prefers a specific way of using a microphone where they don't have to hold it. They want to try using the microphone without any gain to see if it will be loud enough. This is actually the best way that I like to do it. I'm not having to hold the mic, and let's try it without the gain. Okay, so this is basically no gain. Let's see how this comes out.
