Ananke is the Ancient Greek personification of fate or inevitability. Often we associate inevitability with feelings of anxiety or wrongingness. The goal of this composition is to highlight both aspects of fate. The side we fear as the negatively connotated inevitability, and the side we often forget about that says "just because it will happen, doesn't mean it's bad." The main goal of this piece is to achieve a feeling of unease, a sense that something is always "wrong."
