In 2021, Latvia's top post-folk band Iļģi recorded a masterpiece: the longest song in Latvian folklore, "Mēs deviņi bāleliņi." It's one of the most beautiful Latvian compositions of all time. Three years later I decided to create my own instrumental version of it, using the Iļģi recording as a base, along with loops, samples, and help of AI. Origin of this song can be traced back to the earliest layers of wedding songs about the abduction of a bride and the suitors' pursuit of the little sister.
