Hello everybody, this is Artur, your stubborn English teacher, returning to the daily routine of recording the podcast after four months of silence. Very good morning and welcome to day 263 of the One Thousand Miles English Mini-Podcast. If you are really a professional of the future, Michael Jordan, the American successful basketball player and businessman says, step by step, I can't think of any other way of accomplishing anything. Oh yeah. The legendary NBA champion, widely considered to be one of the greatest players of all time, became a global cultural icon and one of the richest celebrities.
Step by step. That's how Michael Jordan did it. Do you think, my noble maritime English Jedi master, that becoming a reliable marine professional is any easier than playing basketball on the spring level? I wish you courage, resilience, and above all, passion. To your success. The maritime phrase of today is a quote from the Guide to Selected Ports of the Polish Coast. As part of your daily English practice, submit your recording accompanied by a translation of the following text. Okay. New dangers. New dangers are newly discovered hazards, natural or man-made, that may not yet be shown in nautical documents and publications. Somebody will remain a hazard until the competent authority is satisfied that the danger has been removed or until the hazard information is sufficiently promulgated. New dangers should be appropriately marked using lateral, cardinal, isolated danger marks or by using an emergency rec mark.
If the competent authority considers the risk to navigation to be especially high, at least one of the marks should be duplicated. Enjoy your day and, of course, good luck.
