If you encounter any issues, there is a section on troubleshooting or contacting IT for help. Welcome to this video supporting the OneNetwork project. This guide will take you through using OneDrive and how to store files on the cloud, share folders and files and controlling who can view or edit them. First, let's set up OneDrive on your new laptop. Search and open OneDrive from the Windows search bar. You may need to sign in to OneDrive using your NIAA email. Once logged in, your OneDrive folder will be shown on the next window. Click Next to proceed. You'll be able to configure what folders in your new laptop will be synced with your OneDrive. Once you're happy with the settings, click Next. You'll be able to configure your backup folder settings for your new laptop. Once you're happy with those settings, click on Start Backup or Next. Your OneDrive is now ready to use. Click Open My OneDrive Folder. This will open your OneDrive folder in File Explorer, where you can see your folder and your synced files. You can also click on the OneDrive icon in the bottom right of the taskbar to see the synced status of OneDrive. Let's move on to how to save files to OneDrive. Open a PowerPoint or Word file, for example, and click on the File tab. Then click OneDrive. From here, you can select another folder to save the files to, otherwise click Save. Open File Explorer, then click on OneDrive from the left navigation pane, and you should be able to see your OneDrive folders and synced files. Next, let's access files through OneDrive through the browser to share files and review file permissions. Firstly, access OneDrive.live.com Once logged in, click on the My Files tab on the taskbar to the left to access your documents and folders. From here, you can hover your mouse over a file that you would like to share, and then click the Share icon. In the pop-up window, search for the people you would like to share the file with. In the drop-down on the right, you can then select their permissions for that file. You can either assign them to have permissions to edit, view, and view with no downloadability. Then click Send to share the file with the selected people. Alternatively, from My Files, click on the checkbox for a file, then click Copy Link. When the link has been created, you can click on Settings to adjust the settings for who can access the link and various permission levels. Once you have adjusted the settings, click on Apply. You can now paste and share the link with others. If you have any issues, please refer to the Using OneDrive QRG Sync Icons section or Contact IT. Thank you for watching this video.
