April Kingsley is a guest on Late Nights with Joan of Arc and discusses Joan's bravery and positive rebellion. They mention that Joan had various disorders and was not actually from Arc. Joan started the bob haircut trend but never fought in combat. April plans to share more information later. They end with a call for listeners to agree that Joan is a positive rebel. Hello and welcome to Late Nights with Joan of Arc, who in my opinion is one of the most empowering positive rebels I have learnt about because she's not with us today. So I'm your host Mackenzie D'Angelo and today we have a very special guest. Please put your hands together for April Kingsley. Hey Mackenzie and listeners, thank you so much for having me here to talk about one of my favourite women. Let's get started shall we? Okay, so what trait comes to mind first when you think about Joan of Arc? When has she shown it and why is that the trait that comes to mind fastest? Well, Joan of Arc was incredibly brave throughout her life, so I have to say bravery. And it comes to mind first because she was just such an inspiring and positive rebel that of course she had to come to mind. Hey, that is so true. So do you want to hear some facts that I learnt? Sure. So firstly, Joan of Arc has been diagnosed with many disorders by today's doctors like ADHD, autism, a lot of many things. Wowee. She wasn't from anywhere called Arc, she was actually from a place called Domitiella la Pugliele, France I think. Close. Oh no, actually no French because I speak Italian. She was the first woman to create the bob haircut. I used to have one actually. I've never had my hair done. I'm trying to grow my hair out. Joan of Arc never actually participated in active combat. She was in a lot of different roles but she was very in the war and that stuff. So I've seen lots of pictures of her riding horses wearing like, what is it, armour, metal armour and she looked like a knight and I thought she'd be the one who was actually battling. Yeah. Wait, she started the bob haircut trend? That is actually so cool. And I thought that she was from Arc because of her title but wow. Do you know anything else? Yeah, but I might have to tell you that on my own time because I don't have enough money to run this and make it a bit longer. So I will have to tell you later because, yeah. Well, I have to go too so. Yeah. Please raise your hands real quick at your home or car or... Any classroom even. Yeah, if you're hanging out with your friends, it doesn't really matter. Just raise your hand if you agree that Joan of Arc is a major... ...positive rebel because if you're like me, she is a major positive rebel. Well, you've got my hand up Mackenzie. Well, yeah. April has her hand up. Well, sadly I have to go now Mackenzie but thank you so much for having me on your talk show Late Nights with Joan of Arc and I hope to see you soon. Yeah, I hope to catch up with you too. Maybe we can go to Macca's to get some half-priced fries if we buy two. Woo! Okay. Thanks guys. See you later on our next episode.
