The speaker discusses their experiences and opportunities during the winter quarter. They express gratitude for a teacher who helped them in their career path and provided opportunities. They also emphasize the importance of communication and building relationships with others. The speaker shares their dislike for AirPod Pros and recommends a cheaper alternative. They talk about passing a certification test for their pharmacy technician job and express gratitude for the opportunity to work as a multimedia editor for the school newspaper. Despite feeling low at times, the speaker is excited for the upcoming spring quarter. Hey everyone, it's Ari and this week I will be talking about the behind the scenes of the girl that you just saw in class every Tuesday at 1 o'clock. So in today's episode I will be talking about the opportunities that I've gotten from the winter quarter and how much I appreciated it even though I feel like I was at my lowest. So I first wanted to touch on a previous teacher that I had in the fall quarter, her name is Martha. Shout out to Miss Martha. She's helped me out in so many ways that it's just sort of hard to describe. But she's helped me branch out, she's helped me feel like I have a community in the career that I'm going into and also just actually start working of what I'm going to do for my career which is journalism and you know she's given me opportunities like just letting me be in her class and be in there when she has a guest speaker. I feel like that's very important for me to take those opportunities and to just appreciate all the help that I get from her. So that's just one of the things that I'm very grateful for. And I also want to speak about how important, important it is to talk to other people. I feel like we've lost that so much especially because of COVID and I feel like this quarter I've talked to so many people. I mean luckily I've got to get close to the girls that are in my class that we do the group podcast. I'm very fortunate to get to know them and talk to them and you know build a relationship with them and yeah I feel like it's just I love finding my community within school, outside of school and I feel like that's just, it's just a way of not networking but just also feeling human again and I miss that so much. So yeah I feel like that's very important that that's what happened to me in the winter quarter. Hey everyone so we're just going to take a little quick break. Just wanted to talk to you about a controversial opinion that I have about certain AirPods or oops earbuds. So yes I don't like the AirPod Pros. I had them at one point and I loved them because at the end of the day they were a little bit on the pricey side so I had to love them but then I realized how just it didn't satisfy me with the sound, the charging, anytime I was on a phone call no one could hear me. So I'm here to talk about some earbuds that I just bought that are probably 10 times better, they are 10 times better than the AirPods and they're called Soundcore Life P3i Hybrid Active Noise Canceling Bluetooth Earbuds and this was recommended to me by a friend and this isn't sponsored or anything but I absolutely love these earbuds. Just letting you know right now they're $39.99 on Amazon. Again $39.99 for some earbuds that are 10 times better than AirPod Pros and I know those things are like $100 so please go on Amazon and buy these. I feel like they're so efficient on, like it makes you just focus on your music, the calls are so clear that the other person can hear you finally. The bass is so good with these earbuds and it's just the charging, you don't have to charge them as much as AirPods and they just, you can listen to music as long as you want with these things. You know they're so good and I highly recommend you to buy these earbuds, I love them so much so please go on Amazon, type in Soundcore Life P3i Hybrid Active Noise Canceling Bluetooth Earbuds, they're 20% off right now for $39.99. Now back to the episode. The behind the scenes that happened to me was that because I worked as a pharmacy tech for two years I guess I had to do a test and be certified and if I didn't pass I wouldn't have been able to work and I was so scared because I feel like I was so stressed out about what was, if I was going to pass or not and still be able to work. At one point I was just like I don't really care if I pass, like I don't care if I have a job but I know deep down inside I just was so scared that I wasn't going to pass but you know I barely passed the two points but hey I did it and I'm so blessed to I guess you know be certified and yeah and get my pharmacy technician license. I feel like that's a really cool thing to have and last but not least the greatest accomplishment of all in this quarter was not only working for La Depalia, the school newspaper but the Spanish version but also getting the position as multimedia editor for a spring quarter. Again shout out to Miss Marfa but also for anyone that was rooting for me and was giving me recognition for the videos that I've been pushing out this for winter quarter and again it's such a blessing to have this opportunity to take that position and to get paid and you know get experience and have that be put on my resume and you know I feel like this is such a big milestone in my school life that it's just I don't know, I don't know what's going to happen next for me and I'm so blessed to be offered the position and to accept it and you know getting good feedback from other people like congratulating me and you know I'm just very excited for next quarter because I feel like winter quarter although I was feeling like I was at my lowest, I feel like I had so many good opportunities given to me and I'm just so happy that winter quarter was what it was and on to the next the spring quarter which I feel like is going to be hell for me but it's okay we'll work it out one step at a time.
