we were translucent before him overlooked talent shone underestimated skill remeasured strengths revealed he peered into my organs instinctive EKG knew my heart instantly MRI mastery of questions dissected my mind he saw seeds of ideas thermal detection of sparks he stoked them into dreams guided them into existence he saw people for who they truly were and showed them how to be their best selves His eyes were the most flattering mirror I can’t bare to never be seen in that light again
