Peter Pan and Wendy by Nushkarwar Chowdhury and Ashley Park, 7 English 4 In a quiet little street in the corner lived the Darling family. Wendy, John and Michael Darling were playing in their bedroom, soft clashing with one another. Mary and George Darling, the parents, always bonded by their love stories so much, especially Peter Pan. Mary always thought that he was embodied as a spirit of youth, being a believer in him, but George was the exact opposite. Wendy, however, was the supreme authority of Peter Pan and all of his marvellous adventures. It all started one night, the evening Mr and Mrs Darling were out for the night. The three children were fast asleep in their room, their night lights shining upon their resting faces, but something overshadowed the lamps. The small petite figure was no bigger than the size of your hand, but very much a real fairy. The little radiant ball dashed across the room, desperately in search of something. That something was a shadow. A split second later, Peter Pan flew through the window, waiting for his shadow as Tinkerbell handed it to him. Peter couldn't be more delighted as he hurried to reconnect with his shadow once more, but it didn't work. He tried everything, from trying to use force to rubbing soap on the soles of his feet, frantically trying to attach his shadow, but nothing seemed to work. Half-heartedly, he sighed, and slumped on the floor, starting to sob his eyes out. The loud eruption seemed to wake up Wendy. What's the matter, Peter? Wendy asked without further ado, as if she expected him and Tinkerbell's arrival. She was quite talkative, and immediately went to Sue on his shadow as she saw what he was trying to do.
