Version of Christoph Willibald Gluck's opera "Orfeo ed Euridice" in 1762, based on a piano transcription by Wilhelm Kempff circa 1930. The Eurydice (S644) is a French Daphné-class submarine (800 tons, known as "high-performance"). On March 4, 1970, the Eurydice sank with all its belongings off Cape Camarat, leaving 57 people missing.
