Okay. Okay. All right. We are recording. Oh, this is fun. All right. Let's do a clap. All right. On one, two, three. One. On three. Ready? One, two, three. All right. We're going to try that again because we've got to be synced up. This is how we sync the audio. Okay. Ready? One, two, three. Still not quite. I'm sorry. Ready? One, two. On three or after three? After three. Okay. Ready? One, two, three. One, two, three. Ready? One, two, three. Yes. We did it. We did it. Ten out of ten. All right. Cool. All right. All right. So this is awesome. This is awesome. We got the equipment down. So here is what I wanted. Here's what I'm thinking for plans. So I've been doing some thinking. If at all possible, I want to turn Stories of Adventure into my job. I know it's a long shot. I know it's a long shot. I know it's a long shot. I know it's a long shot. I know it's a long shot. I know it's a long shot. I know it's a long shot. I know it's a long shot. I know it's a long shot. I know it's a long shot. I know it's a long shot. I know it's a long shot. I know it's a long shot. I know it's a long shot. I know it's a long shot. I know it's a long shot. I am expecting this to maybe have two listeners, but I want to plan for it as if we could be the next critical role in the future. I know we're not going to be, but I'd rather have the infrastructure saved up for if we have like a thousand listeners, you know? So I'd rather work that out in the beginning and not need it than not work it out and not have it. All right. So first off, I'm thinking we do a podcast episode once every two weeks. That way there's time for us to hang out and just be us. If we want to record an episode and have like a buffer week, we can do that. But I want there to be time just for us to hang out because at the end of the day, we're doing silly dice games with friends, and I don't want the podcast and career of it all to get in the way. Okay. Yeah. I mean, it makes sense to me. Yeah. Also, if anyone else wants to run something in that time. Also, it just gives me a little more free time when planning. Yeah. Now, I have a question. Yeah. Let's say like where are we going to post these? I assume the goal is to post these. Yeah. These will be posted online. I'm going to just do the basic stuff. I'm going to make a YouTube channel, SoundCloud, Spotify, that sort of thing. Yeah. Just post it. I'll put it in the Playtest Discord that I've got set up for the game. That'll be fun. How many people are on the Discord right now? I think like 10. Oh, that's fun. Yeah. Maybe they'll listen to it. Send me the link. Yeah. You never sent it to me either. Okay. You guys want the link. I'll send you the link. I have Discord. I just don't know how to use it. Okay. Discord is like Skype, but somehow I don't know how to use it. It's a much simpler Skype. I know, but I never knew how to use Skype either. You're lucky. We're lucky I know how to use Twitter. Oh, that's true. I hardly know how to play. I don't know. Do you want me to call it? No, it's fine. We'll do it. I love that. Can you guys hear me when I talk back here? Yeah, but you sound far away, even though you're right next to me. Like I said, this is going to get disassociated from me quick. Okay. You're just getting into character. It's fine. It's fine. It's fine. I have another question. You're going to burn in hell. Are we going to put our real names out there? That's up to you. I'm just going to go by Annabelle. Okay. That's me. I'm Annabelle. I can do a Five Nights at Freddy's jump scare in real life. You are a Five Nights at Freddy's jump scare in real life. Good talking, buddy. Listen, I just plan on this being me talking to you guys normally with a mic in front of me. No, exactly. That's how I have it planned. I have a feeling that you're going to spend a lot of time editing. Yeah, no. I sent a link to the Discord. You can join the Soap playtest. It's Stories of Adventure playtest. Soap. Soap. Soap. Soap. Soap. We need to do an episode of us just eating soap like an ASMR. What the fuck is wrong with you, Josie? It's not real soap. It's like chocolate. I don't want to show you. I don't want to show you. My ears can't handle this. Please. All right. Anyways. Josie. Bringing you back into the world. Okay. Lost my train of thought. One last preparing for something that will probably never happen. If this thing makes any fucking money at all, which just the podcast, it's probably not going to make shit. Okay. But if it does. Yeah. First, it's going to pay back how much I spent on these things. Of course. That makes the most sense. And then after that, if we get to that point, well, the split I'm thinking, I'll grab 40% and you guys each can get 20. Okay. 40% for me because I'm editing and GMing. 20% for you guys because you guys are also important contributors. Thank you. Rather have that. I've been paying attention to YouTube and people who start things like this. It's better to have it explained in the beginning so there isn't an argument later on. Yeah. I completely agree. I don't think it'll ever get to that point. Yeah. And it's fair. I think it's fair that you get 40% if this ever gets that far. Yeah. And this is also out of profit, not total revenue. So if at some point, I don't fucking know, we have an editor, we pay the editor first and then do the split. Yeah. Let's be honest. If we don't look at it from anything other than us just hanging out, we don't need to worry about that. I know. It's just that if it makes money, I want you guys to be fairly compensated and I want it to be figured out right now so we don't have an argument later on. Yeah. And I want to let you know that if this makes money and we get it in on a cut, money is money. Money is money. Money is money that all of us need. Yeah. We all need fucking money. So if this somehow goes viral. Don't look at me again. No, we love you. You're beautiful and gorgeous and you look like a model. She's right. You're beautiful. Listen. Why is it fucking slow now? At some point, we're going to be like plugging your OnlyFans during the podcast. Yeah. We don't have an OnlyFans. We're going to plug it. That's the thing. When you become a VTuber, we're going to put on your VTuber Patreon, be like, look at her sexy, sexy nipples. Yeah, no. They're drawn. They're not her real nipples. Sorry. Most likely, this is just going to be us recording our D&D sessions and maybe like five people listen to it. Our soap adventure. I'm just putting this out there in advance so we don't have an argument about money at some point in the future. Also, everyone has an eject button. If you want out of the podcast, you have out. No questions asked. You don't have to be part of it. I'll be fine. This is for fun. I have made stories of adventure because I like playing silly dice games with my friends. I'd rather play silly dice games with my friends than have a podcast. I love that. That's a 10 out of 10 thing. Good, good vibe, good mood. All right, cool. The serious stuff is done. Let's pick out a theme song. Oh, yeah. My friend makes music and said we could use anything from their channel. Amazing. Now, they're not going to be like copyright striking us, right? No, there isn't copyright on this. Listen, if they become famous. Anyways, so we're also going to see if the mic picks us up, so we know for that. You might want to put it up close to the mic. No, I'm seeing if it can pick it up from here. I think I picked it up. I know that game. That's not a game. That's Red Dead. I know, it's not a game. Yeah, this music is not a game. It's an incredible journey through old American history. Yeah, Arthur just really liked Red Dead, so that's the album cover picture that it uses. I like this one. I know, it's got nice vibes. So, something this thing can do is you see these four buttons? These are soundboard buttons. I can map these to anything. So, one will be intro, one will be intermission, one will be back from intermission, and one will be we're done. Love that. So, yeah, we'll probably cut it into like four 15-minute segments, 15-second segments, and just throw that in. And then we have a Piss Break song for when Josie inevitably says, I gotta piss. When I take my mid-game 15-minute shit. Exactly. Like I said, we're preparing for stuff that could happen. And then you guys go on your horrible, horrible Yu-Gi-Oh tangents for like 15 minutes on 15-minute shit. Oh, hush. You're one to talk about horrible tangents. And not everything we do is for your entertainment, Josie. You're not the main character of the world. Let's just say this. You're just mad because I am. Josie talks about one piece in Yu-Gi-Oh. The other one fights us on whether it is ableist to be ruthless. No, no, no. We're not starting this fight. Yeah, we're over that. It's fine. It's fine. All right, so that first one was Bounty Board. This next one is Moon at Gravestone. Are these people going to play in the background sometimes while we're playing? Depends on how good it sounds when I'm editing. We'll determine whether we have background music. Okay. I don't have background music, but we'll see. Are we going to pay this person for the use of their music? If this thing starts picking up, I'll give them a percentage out of my cut. No, this will go out of business expense. Yeah, commission. Yeah. Like we could commission them to make music for this. Yeah, no. Definitely, definitely. But yeah, I asked them. I said, I'm willing to commission you. Could we do a custom theme song? And it said, no, I don't. I'm not really feeling music right now. Oh, this is your person who goes by it pronouns. Yeah, this is Arthur. Okay. This one is also one of my favorites, Amidst the Mushrooms. I think if we ever talk about it, we need to clarify that. Yeah. Yeah, my friend Arthur, who uses it, it's pronouns. Mm-hmm. It's, so yeah. Anyways, so yeah. Arthur said, I'm not feeling music right now. I don't want to say I'm going to make you something in a nut. Mm-hmm. But you can use anything from my channel, and I won't mind. I mean, to be honest, most of these kind of work. These are all good. That's the thing. If I had to pick five. I think of the three that we are coming across now, I think the first one so far is my favorite one. The first one's good for like, you know. Sound keyboard. Sound keyboard's good for like, overall. Mm-hmm. Yeah, no. I definitely want to use this one for something. I feel like this one could be. The outro. The fun intermission bit. I don't know. I think outro actually is not a bad idea. Yeah, I guess that could be a good idea. I don't know. We also, once we have the vibe of the campaign, we could find something that fits. Mm-hmm. That's boss type. Yeah, this is boss type music. Yeah, I know. Yeah, no, this could be villain theme. The first rat. Lord of the rats. You know, material girl. Material rat. This would be rat boss type music. This would be. Yeah, no. It's called The Gambler? Yep. This was the theme for their D&D character, The Gambler. Mm-hmm. And because it was Arthur playing, it was just a fucked up cowboy with a gun. Pretty much every character Arthur plays is a fucked up cowboy with a gun. We stand that in Arthur. It sounds like a person of. Where did you meet Arthur? Online. Online. It's been part of my online campaign since I started doing online campaigns. Lovely. Basically, it was a friend of a friend, and that mutual friend sucked, but we stayed friends. Lovely. Pandemic was wild. Anyways. Yeah, no, The Gambler was fun. His first character was a rogue. Mm-hmm. And it learned you could get hit when you're in melee. Yep. So it switched to a ranged build and has exclusively used ranged characters since. Lovely. Yeah. Yeah, no, it's such a talented artist. I really wanted to pick up music again, just because this shit is good, and it's from nothing. Yeah. Like, I think it made this one in literally 20 minutes. Yeah. This is the piss break song. Yeah. We're taking a fucking piss break! Yeah! Wow! Wow! Wow. Wowie zowie. Wowie zowie. Wowie zowie. I can't do it. Wowie zowie. I hate you. You do not talk, and then the microphone. No. The microphone. The microphone. The microphone. The microphone. The microphone. The microphone. Anyway, so yeah. So we're thinking the first one as an intro? No. Yeah. Put it on again. Yeah, no, I think, yeah. I say either intro or start intermission. I think intro. This is definitely intro. This sounds like a kind of like a theme. This was actually the intro theme for a different campaign. Okay. There you were. You're lovely. It's very cute. It is. I legitimately, before I found it again, I had this song stuck in my head. I was like, what video game is this from? Like, I was listening to video game soundtracks to try and find it, and I just listened to it while trying to find a theme song. I was like, oh my fuck, this is it. Oh my fuck. Huh? Peepee poo poo. Okay. So you have a theme. Bounty board. Awesome. Awesome. I will figure out how to add sound bites to our magical little machine, which currently does nothing when you press the buttons, which is sad. I love that. I like this little machine a lot. I think it's... It's doing its best. It's doing its best for us. We should name it. What should we name the machine? Courtney. Courtney. Courtney. Courtney. Courtney. Courtney. All right. Our editing machine, Courtney. Let's see if any of us will remember this. Well, we'll have this to look back on, because we're going to have this. Yeah, we're going to have this. This is not going to get posted anywhere. Really? This here? No, we're talking business. This is so fun. You're talking business. We still have to keep it. I know. For the lawsuit. Yeah, this is for the lawsuit. When you guys all sue me because I've been hoarding all the profits, this is the evidence. All the one dollar bills. Yeah. Actually send this to me. Yeah. This is for my personal files. Yes. The whole- Back when you become Scrooge McDuck. Yes, exactly. This is not my one, by the way. No, that was your one. That was your one. No, it wasn't my one. Yeah, it was. I feel like we're going to have all these inside jokes. Yeah, we're going to explain them. Are we going to explain the inside jokes? Yeah. We're not just going to let them fester? There are some jokes we just can't explain, like emo. And that's because it's emo. No, we're going to have- One thing I'm going to have is after the episode is done, when I'm editing, I'm going to have a Q&A. Or actually, we could start a session with Q&A and then staple that onto the end of the last session. I would say put it at the end because if you have- Yeah, Q&A after the end credits. Because there's people who don't want to listen. True, yeah. We'll do Q&A after the end credits. I'm just trying to figure out where it goes in the recording. But yeah, Q&A will be after the end credits. Probably mostly be game mechanics and shit because, you know. Or lore bits, maybe. Yeah, lore is fun. So, this podcast is going to be part of the launch of the beta of Stories of Adventure. Right now, it's in alpha. In a couple of weeks, the alpha will be done. The beta will involve tons of playtesting. On the weeks that we're not doing podcast episodes, I am going to be doing a session in the Discord server. Okay. It's going to have lore, tons of lore. Because I have the basics of lore. I don't have a lot. I do not have a lot at all. The Q&A will be related to the game, right? Of course, yeah. And then, just getting attention for the game. Like I said, I want... I'm going to need to brush up on my lore of this game. Don't worry. There's no official lore. Beautiful. It lives in my brain. I'm going to just make shit up. I'm going to start making shit up. They're going to ask things. I'm just going to spit questions out my butthole. And then they'll be like, It was retconned! And then he silenced her! Yeah. They said such and such can happen. And you'll have to go back and be like, That bitch has no say over this. She's a stupid, silly little character who I allowed to become part of my podcast and I have to silence her. Oh, this does sound better. Yes, it does. Like, way better. That's nice. You're too far from the mic. You might want to... Anyway, so... Out to your bed or out to your bed or out to your bed. Your walls are breathing. Your walls are breathing. Your walls are breathing. You'll be fine. You'll be fine. Benadryl crackers! The rat ate my Lunchables! The rat ate my Lunchables! Alright, if we're done saying curse things... Never. Let's talk about the vibe for the campaign. The last campaign we did, it was a lot of fun, but there wasn't a lot for, as much for character stories. And I want that to be a focus. So, Jesse, do you want to start us off? You already have an idea for a character that I love. Okay. What do you want me to say? Just introduce your character to the players, and we'll talk out who they are. Alright. Her name is Omni Lua. She is a Wraith. A Wraith. That's the class name we're going for. The Wraith is a class... So, night time is evil. Yeah. Night time is evil. I remember. A Wraith is a class that can use that evil night time darkness. Lovely. Yeah. It's Jesse. It's exactly what you expect. Honestly... And I think just for this podcast-wise, it'll be good for us to play characters that are like ourselves, so it flows more naturally. Yeah, I've got to play fucking everyone. You guys have the easy part. If you ever need help, I don't like certain accents. I like that accent. That's a 10 out of 10 accent from me. Yeah, I've got to be everyone from Pumat to Schemo. Is Pumat moving to this game? Pumat is from Critical Role, so probably not. Oh, I didn't know that. This is Tumat, Tumat. Not Tumat! Tumat, his evil cousin. Anyways, your character. What do you want, backstory? Yeah, just explain the vibe. Explain the character, explain the vibe. Okay, so she is my last character, the big baker elf girl with the rope with the one arm. This is her kid. Okay. Who procreated with her? She's doing it, JoJo. Her femboy husband. Oh my God! And that led to Omni. And Omni is... She was born cursed, so she got little antlers, a big fluffy wolf tail, and big floppy ears, like a weird monster girl. You said deer antlers. Please tell me the deer. The deer, okay. It was the deer. The deer was her femboy husband? No. The deer is the baby daddy? No. The deer is her daughter? The deer is like the other parent after her mom and dad died. Also, they are dead. It's a D&D character. What do you expect? No parents. How did she get antlers? She was born that way. Okay, rude. Kind of came out, and then was like, you can't just ask why someone has antlers. I think I can. Why don't you have antlers? Her thing is... Why do you not have antlers? She's kind of like a weird monster girl. Her thing is... You haven't come in yet. Basically, after her parents died, she lives with her granddad, and her granddad was his half mortician. Lovely. So he kind of got spirits to pass on. So she does that now. And she wants to go, and she kind of, after an incident involving a noble girl who kept pestering her and trying to fuck with her because she was a monster, she got kicked out of her village. So now she travels around trying to find a place. She's been helping out people and helping souls pass on. That's kind of her big deal. And the one fun issue is as time went on, she's been like three years out of the village, because she didn't have a consistent line of people talking to her, her side kind of kicked in more. You know the manticore? She kind of talks like the manticore did from last session. Absolutely. I love that. Uncanny Valley speech. Where it's basically just... I also got the other idea where it's... Just tell me if this works. But... Hello, hi. I'm Omni. Nice to meet you. You seem nice. I like you. You're very pleasant. Thank you. My name is Omni. It's nice to meet you. You are very pleasant. No, I don't like that one. Hello, you are smelling good. Hello, you are smelling good. Get out of there and into my belly. Yes. Get out of there and into my mouth. I would like to chew and swallow you. Deceiving idea. So... I feel like exploring mommy issues would be very good for this character. I mean, her one big thing is... Which... If you don't want to tell them, you don't have to. But this is... We're discussing stuff us, the players, know not. The characters. I mean, as the... I mean, her main thing is her parents died and she also went berserk and turned into a big monster after they died. But she doesn't know if she was the reason they died. And that's what kind of keeps her up at night, basically. She also wears a blindfold to kind of stop her from seeing any bad things. I stand there in a clean... Whenever she starts freaking out she'll wear a blindfold. Just because she's like... If she doesn't see the bad thing it's not happening in her mind. Honestly. It's that object permanence she doesn't really have. Okay. If I cannot see it does not exist. So why would I even look? It's the logic of if you put a tarp over your dog's face or your cat's face. Like putting the blanket on the birdcage. Yeah, pretty much. It's like the world outside doesn't exist. Yeah, no. So, yeah. Why do people put blankets on birdcages? So they go to sleep. Yeah, because that's also why they have birds with hats. Put a hood on the bird and then it doesn't react to anything around it. We stand that in a bird. Bird with hat. Bird with hat supremacy. I left my little friend in my uncle's car. Oh, no. Oh, no. Oh. I got a little friend and I left it in my uncle's car. Is it like the little cat? No. Okay. It's not Kevin. Kevin, that's the name. I have... I have Kevin. I wasn't sure if it was Kevin or Lewis. Why would it be Lewis? Why is it Kevin? These are very good questions. Lewis is a disgusting, disgusting name you give to disgusting, disgusting lads. Alright, well, I know what your character's name is now. Alright, so that's Omni. Is there anything you want to add about Omni? The only time she talks normally or thinks not, like, sort of animalistically is when she's submerged in water because of how her tribe is. They have an ability to turn into water and water kind of purifies the spooky, dark shit inside of her brain. Okay. Dammit. Okay. Gage, I'm going to assume you're going to cling onto Gerby for dear life. I don't know. I would be okay with Gerby being here. We are starting at level one. I love Gerby. Okay. Gerby Junior. No, not Gerby Junior. So, yeah. Gerby. So my theme Gerby's problematic brother, Herpy. I was thinking of exploring what your character is mommy issues because, oh no, I might have killed my mom. It's just so ripe for, and also because your mom was more of a character that we knew. Yeah. And possibly also why she's cursed. Well, yeah, that, obviously. I've got ideas about that. I'm not telling, you said you don't know what it is. I have specifically asked that it be left up to me. And I have ideas. It's not the idea I told you. The only thing is just the mom didn't do anything and the dad didn't do anything. So that's like Do anything to make you evil? To make her cursed. Yeah, no. They would never do anything. Yeah, exactly. No. So I had this idea about religious themes in a world where the gods are real. How religious we talk and We're like So I had this idea. So part, a big part of the setting. So night is evil. Day is good. Yeah. Sun Goddess was like the queen of the gods and like the epitome of goodness. She's been quiet for hundreds of years. Lovely. No one's fucking heard from her. Yeah. She still has followers. Their magic still works. But she has not done shit. She basically lost her phone and she didn't know what to answer. Get her new one. There are stories of her out of the darkness restraining her of her her feeling that objective good has disappeared from the world so she can't get involved directly. But there is someone that is active. Like every god has like under them that do stuff. Her Jerry. Yeah. Or like for example the angel Gabriel and Christian like yeah like just like a guy that does stuff. One of those is her daughter who is the guardian angel of children who has so the ideas I'm running with this is an idea I had on the way over that I overdeveloped. So she is the daughter of the goddess. She is active. She appears to children who are going through tough times and guides them through it. So she's a fairy godparent. Yes. And she I'm just so basically you want to know. No. It's just it's just what's the guy. No big guy Jorgen von Strangler. Yeah. It's Jorgen the hot twin sister. She appears to children and helps them. Originally you never really have full memories of like distinct memories of the time you spent with her. It's more like a dream. Some people think she just appears in dreams as like a guide but as the generations pass on older people remember her as a very kindly guiding finger while the children of this generation she's a guiding while the children of this generation are kind of scared of her. They respect her and she helps them but they're scared of her. So it felt like tying that story in with yours could be more like spirit yeah what I was thinking is that she helped you out while you were younger but you actually have more like you start remembering more detailed stuff. If that's not something you're into that's not something you're into and I'll it's just a fun lore to connect with her. So yeah that's not part of your story. You are strictly oh fuck I might have killed my mom I'm going to be weird. There was a question I did have. Yes. If we could go with her involving gods and religion yeah why not just lean more into what's going on with the night and like I have ideas about that. Yeah. All right. So with you guys who if you guys have less of an idea flesh out I will make stuff to work for you. I will build subclasses that will work for you. I didn't have a race subclass that did the spirit stuff she wants so I'm going to make it from scratch. You can you ask me for something I will give it to you. So what are you looking for. I really like the vibe you created with that goddess. Okay. I think from I think I would like to send the perspective of a of a mother who has a child who starts to act a little funny. Yeah. Because maybe they're not in a very good situation where the child might feel a little weird. Yeah. So I would like to send the perspective of a mother who has a child who starts to act a little funny. Yeah. So I would like to send the perspective of a mother who has a child who starts to act a little weird. Yeah. So I would like to send the perspective of a mother who has a child who starts to act a little weird. Yeah. So I would like to send the perspective of a mother who has a child who starts to act a little weird. Yeah. So I would like to send the perspective of a mother who has a child who starts to act a little weird. Yeah. So I would like to send the perspective of a mother who has a child who starts to act a little weird. Yeah. So I would like to send the perspective of a mother who has a child who starts to act a little weird. Yeah. So I would like to send the perspective of a mother who has a child who starts to act a little weird. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
