Nothing to say, yet
Nothing to say, yet
The speaker starts by praying for wisdom and understanding for the listeners. She encourages them to do their own research and engage in difficult conversations with an open mind. She talks about the controversy surrounding the Olympics and emphasizes the importance of respecting different opinions. She wears a bracelet that says "WWJD" (What would Jesus do) as a reminder to live a life like Jesus and treat others with kindness. She mentions that God gives us peace that the world cannot provide. She believes that Satan tries to create division and encourages listeners to choose love and understanding instead of hatred and aggression. She concludes by thanking listeners for their support and encourages them to keep spreading God's word. Heavenly Father, I come before you, and I lift up each and every person listening. I ask that you open their ears, their hearts, and their minds, Lord. And I ask that you give them wisdom, understanding, and discernment, Father. I want to thank you. I want to praise you. And I want to glorify you, because without you, none of this would be possible. And I pray all of this in Jesus' name, amen. Hey there, it's Anna with God's Podcast. And today I want to start in Psalms 32, 8. It reads, I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go. I will counsel you with my loving eye on you. I want to remind each and every one of you that we have the ability from God to get the knowledge, the understanding, and the wisdom. So do your research. And I bring this up because there are so many people out there commenting, getting upset, being angry about so many different events that are taking place in the world today. Which this reminded me of a conversation I had the other day, where we did not agree, but disagreed on some topics. And in the middle of the conversation, I seriously thought to myself, Anna, what the heck are you bringing this up for? What are you thinking? You are just going to make people get angry, upset, and you're going to be fighting. And there's no reason for you to start this conversation. But then I realized, I cannot be afraid. I need to embrace these hard conversations. I need to be able to listen, learn, and grow from them. I need to be open-minded to a new idea and a new way of thinking. Sometimes you have to have these hard conversations with others. And it is okay to not have the same ideas, the same opinions, the same thoughts on the topic, because that's the beauty of a country that we live in. That's the beauty that God has created in each and every one of us. God created each of us uniquely in his image, and no two people are exactly the same. Which this brings me to the topic that I want to talk about. So many people I have seen had so much to say about the opening ceremony of the Olympics. And I'll be honest, it made me upset at first. But I stopped and realized that I need to do my own research. I need to get an understanding of what actually was going on. Because you have two different sides. And you're always going to have two different sides of a controversy. You will always have two different opinions. You will have always two different arguments. And it never helps when the media plays it that way. Two dividing sides. Two dividing sides that push the arguments, the opinions. I've seen so many different podcasts, news, social media, posts, and the list can go on and on about this opinion and arguments. And the beauty is, we have that freedom to do so. But it's honestly sad when people abuse that freedom. I can give you my opinion. I can give you my stance. I can give you my political view. But what good would that do, honestly? It wouldn't change the fact of what happened. It wouldn't change the minds of those that are angry and upset. It wouldn't change the opposite side that will come back and argue against what the other person believes. It will just cause more controversy. It will just cause more arguments. It will just cause more and more and more hatred. This started making me think about this bracelet that I wear. It says WWJD. What would Jesus do? I wear this as a reminder to myself that I want to live a life like Jesus. Or that if I'm in a situation, how would he react? What would he do? Because I have that freedom. Because I live in a country where we are free to express ourselves, to have opinions, and to think in the way that we do. I also want to treat others like I would want to be treated. So it is a reminder to me. And God gave us that freedom as well. The freedom to choose to follow him or not to follow him. He never forces you to. It's your choice. It's up to you to choose to follow Jesus. And why wouldn't you want to? He gives you the knowledge, the understanding, and the wisdom. He also brings you peace. Which brings me to John 14, 27. This reads, Peace I leave with you, my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. This reminds me that God is always giving us a peace that no one else can ever give us. The peace that we're always searching for. The peace that we want in our lives. A peace that is like no other. When it comes to these topics, when it comes to these controversies, I am reminded that Satan is doing everything that he possibly can. Think of it. Think of it this way. How can Satan get us to go against each other? Other than to have two different sides, fighting, arguing, getting upset, showing aggression, showing hatred, being mad. That's exactly what his agenda is. That's exactly what he's doing. And if you can't see that, you are blind to Satan's plan, his tactics, his schemes. Look, we live in a country that's free. Free to express yourself, free to say what you want. We do live in a country of freedom. But it's up to you to make a choice. You can choose to engage in this hatred, in the activities, in the opinions, in the aggression. That is up to you. But you also can choose to live a life not to fall for those tactics, not to fall into that category of hatred and being angry and mad and shouting and screaming. You could choose a life to follow Jesus and be reminded of WWJD. What would Jesus do? Because we all want to be treated well. We all want to be treated like we would treat ourselves. So show your neighbors love. Show them understanding, wisdom. You don't always have to agree with them. You don't always have to agree with whatever topic that is out there. That's the beauty of living in this country. But it also is the beauty of what God has given us to be unique. We are uniquely made in him, in his image. But we also have a freedom of choosing what type of life we want to live. What type of lifestyle we want. Do you want to be the person that's going to be always going against the opposite side? Always arguing over a topic, a controversy of what's going on? Or are you going to take it back to God and get wisdom and understanding and discernment and pray about the subject? Pray for a better world for us to live in. Pray for a better place for our next generation to have. Pray for the wisdom and understanding for the people that are in power and pray for our nation so that we are not lost or fall for Satan's tactics or lies. I want to thank you. Thank you for coming each and every week and listening to me and God's word. I appreciate all of the support. So until next episode, keep bibling, keep spreading God's word. And remember WWJD. What would Jesus do? Not what would Satan do? Father, I come before you and I lift up each and every person, whatever they may be going through, Lord, whatever they may be feeling at this time, if they are lost, confused, I ask that they turn to you and ask for wisdom, understanding, because we live in a world that there is so much controversy, so much hatred, so much anger and aggression that we need you, Father. We need you to lead us, to guide us. I just want to say thank you. Thank you for always listening. Thank you for always being here for us. I want to give you praise. I want to give you glory because you deserve all the praise. In Jesus name, Amen.
