Hello, everyone. It's Anna with God's Podcast. In today's episode, we will be discussing friendships rooted in Christ. Those friendships that bless our lives and are truly gifts from God. But before we begin, let us pray. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Father, we come before you through your Son, Jesus Christ, and we lift up each and every person listening. Father, I ask that you open their ears, their hearts, their minds so that they can take your verses, your words, and get your understanding. Father, I am only being used as your vessel, being obedient to you to spread your word. This comes from you, Father. And I just want to glorify you and praise you and give you all the glory. Because without you, I would be nothing. But through you, I am everything. And I pray all of this in Jesus' mighty name. Amen. Okay, brothers and sisters, here we go. We're going to talk about rooted friendships in Christ. And in today's episode, I want you to be aware that you need to seek these people. You need to pray about it and ask God to bring them into your life so that your life can flourish and you can be held accountable for your relationship with the Lord for your understanding of his word, because they will help you. They will bring beauty into your life. They will bring meaning into your life. They will help you through your process of learning God's words. They will encourage you and uplift you. So if you have not found your family, if you have not found your brothers in Christ, your sisters in Christ, seek them, pray about it and ask God to bring them into your life today. And watch God change your life for the better, for the good, and bring you closer to him. So then you ask, what is this type of friendship? Well, let me share with you, brothers and sisters, this type of friendship that is rooted in Christ is one that flourishes through shared faith, mutual support, and a deep spiritual connection. Such friendships often begin with a common belief in Jesus and a commitment to live according to his teachings. And I want you to know, you are never too young or too old to find these friendships rooted in Christ. These friendships that will change your life forever. These types of relationships, prayer becomes the most powerful tool. These types of friends pray for each other, lifting one another up during challenging times and celebrating each other's victories. They encourage one another to grow in their faith, to study the Bible together and discuss how its lessons can be applied to their lives. These Christ-centered friendships are marked by love, forgiveness and grace. When misunderstandings arise, these friends seek reconciliation, remembering the importance of humility and understanding in their relationship. They hold each other accountable gently guiding one another back to the path of righteousness we need. Which leads me to the verse of 1 Timothy 2, verse 8, which we should hold as a reminder in these beautiful friendships based in Christ that often extend beyond the two individuals involved. These friends help you grow. They encourage you through acts of kindness and service. They inspire each other to live out their faith authentically, becoming beacons of light in a world that deeply needs hope. These types of friendships rooted in Christ is a source of joy and strength, reflecting the love that God has for each of us. These friendships nurture us in growth, are rooted in empathy and create a lasting bond that can withstand the test of time. I encourage you, if you have not found your group yet, to do so, as it has changed my life drastically and can change yours as well. Which draws me to Colossians 2, verses 6-7. Rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught and overflowing with thankfulness. This is where the inspiration comes from in these Christlike friendships. You are rooted and built up in him. Almost a year ago, I initiated a Bible study with a group of wonderful, beautiful women who have profoundly impacted my life. They uplift me during my low moments, serve as my prayer warriors and transform my dreary days into ones filled with love and laughter. Even though these encounters are not in person, the bond we share is truly beautiful. And I am grateful that God pushed me to start this group. I was not obedient at first, and I was afraid and did not think I was qualified to lead a Bible study. But God reassured me and shows me each and every time we meet how wonderful and beautiful and loving he truly is to bring this type of friendship into my life. So I'm going to continue to keep encouraging you. Pray about these friendships. Ask God to send Christ-rooted people into your life that can uplift you and share your love for God with them and hold you accountable and be able to talk about his most beautiful word and share it with one another, because it truly is beautiful. We truly are better together. And so will you be with your group, because God forms a bond, a union between you and this group, allowing you to be warriors for Christ. Our Bible study group is God's warriors, because we are warriors for God who pray like no other when we need it. And we see God work through our prayers and our faith and our understanding of his word, and being able to share with each other and comfort each other and be vulnerable together because it is a safe place. Helping us walk through whatever it is that we're going through, being able to verbalize it with each other is the most beautiful thing. When we encourage this supportive environment, it not only enhances our individual growth, but also strengthens us in our communities as a whole, brothers and sisters. Each person's success becomes a shared victory. And this collective mindset encourages innovation and creativity. In these spaces, collaboration thrives, leading to diverse ideas and solutions that might not have ever emerged in a competitive setting. When we prioritize support over rivalry, we build relationships, truly grounded in trust and mutual respect, which can lead to lasting connections and shared achievements. Together, we can truly reach greater heights. I feel incredibly thankful for the presence of these amazing women in my life. I am truly grateful that God has brought us together to share experiences, to learn and to grow alongside one another. I am so thankful to you, my warrior sisters in Christ, for being my sisters, for being the queens that you are, and for encouraging me and uplifting me each and every day. And I pray that I can continue to do the same for you. And of course, now we get to the questions that you might have or that you know, I'm going to ask because in every episode, there's always a question. It wouldn't be an episode without me asking you a question or referring to questions. So here are my questions for this episode. How can we integrate this into our lives? How can we cultivate friendships centered around Christ that emphasize building a solid foundation based on faith, love and mutual respect, all while being guided by Christ's values? Well, friends, brothers and sisters, here are some of my key aspects to consider when you're looking for these types of friendships that are rooted in Christ. And these key aspects can also be centered in your marriage, because a marriage needs to be rooted in Christ as well. Number one, shared faith. Friendships should be rooted in a commitment to Christ and share similar beliefs. This shared faith can enhance the relationship and root a deeper spiritual bond between you and the other person. Number two, you need to pray together. Regularly praying together enhances your friendships and allows everyone to seek God's guidance in both your individual lives and your relationships. Number three, scripture study. Whether it is engaging in a Bible study together, this can deepen your understanding and promote spiritual growth. Discussing verses and applying them to your daily life encourages your friendships to align their values with God, for not only yourself, but for them as well. Communication is number four. Open and honest communication is crucial. Discussing feelings, concerns, and faith openly can help resolve conflicts and build trust between you and the other person. Number five, which is very important, forgiveness. Embracing forgiveness as taught in the Bible is essential in overcoming challenges and maintaining a healthy relationship. Number six, accountability. Supporting each other in spiritual growth and holding one another accountable can encourage to stay true to their faith. Number seven, shared goals. Setting spiritual and life goals together can help maintain focus on the purpose of the relationship, ensuring it remains aligned with Christ's teachings. Number eight, community involvement. Being part of a church community or Bible study, which I call my church, can provide support, encouragement, and resources to help a relationship flourish. Number nine, unconditional love. Emulating Christ's love involves showing kindness, compassion, and patience towards one another, creating a nurturing environment. Number 10, encouraging each other. Being intentional about uplifting and supporting one another. Offer words of encouragement that reflects Christ's love and grace. Number 11, cultivate gratitude. Regularly expressing gratitude for each other and the blessings in your lives. This promotes a positive atmosphere and highlights the good in your relationship. Number 12, prioritizing quality time. Making time for each other, even though you're busy. Engage in activities that nurture your relationship and allow for meaningful conversations. Number 13, live out your faith. Model Christlike behavior in your daily actions and interactions, both with each other and with others around you. Let your faith be evident in how you treat one another. By integrating these practices and Christlike values into our relationships, we can create a strong foundation for our relationships that reflect Christ's love and purpose. Like I said, brothers and sisters, this can also apply to your marriages as well. If these things are your foundation, you are on solid ground with Christ. He is your rock. He will not let you crumble that foundation. He will be with you and give you strength through it all. I hope that this encourages you and that you seek your Christlike friendships that are rooted in God's values, God's word, and you surround yourself with people who are going to hold you accountable and uplift you through this journey with Christ and strengthen that relationship with our Lord and Savior. I am asking you to seek those friendships because it will change your life, brothers and sisters. It will give you something to encourage you to seek the Lord, your God, each and every day, because we all need Him. I'm going to encourage you to share this episode with someone in need. Like I've said a million times, we all need God each and every day. And if we can be that light, that beacon, and sharing God's word, and lifting somebody else up, and bringing them to Christ, what a gift that is. I truly appreciate you coming each and every week and listening and supporting God's word. I am only a vessel to Him. And I will continue to keep spreading His word, continue to keep seeking Him, and continue to uplift you and guide you to Him. I praise Him and I thank Him for allowing me to be obedient and sharing this beautiful gift, His good news, and I encourage you to do the same. I truly hope you enjoy today's episode and that you can take value in these Christ values that I have shared with you and use them in your everyday life. So until next episode, keep bibling, keep spreading God's word, and find yourself your Christ-like group that will lift you up and hold you accountable and bring you closer to God each and every day. I truly love each and every one of you. Thank you and have a wonderful week. Let us pray. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Father, I come before you through your Son, Jesus Christ, and I ask for blessings upon everyone who is listening. I ask that you bring them their Christ-like friendships that is rooted in you, in your values, and that they can uplift each other and surround each other with love and encouragement and hold each other accountable to seek you each and every day. Father, we are nothing without you, but through you, all things are possible. And I just want to glorify you and thank you and say I love you so much. And I pray all of this in Jesus' name. Amen.
