In the experimental group, participants lost an average of 2.2kg of total body mass during Phase 1 and Phase 2, but gained 2.5kg of lean body mass. In the control group, participants lost 5kg of total body mass and 0.3kg of lean body mass during the same period. In Phase 3, the experimental group gained 3.5kg of total body mass and 2.7kg of lean body mass, while the control group gained 3.2kg of total body mass and 2.5kg of lean body mass. Looking at the experimental group that received the weekly testosterone injections, we can see that from the start of Phase 1 to the end of Phase 2, participants lost an average of 2.2 kilograms of total body mass. While these participants lost a significant amount of total body mass during this period, they gained an average of 2.5 kilograms of lean body mass. Switching over to the control group that received the placebo injections of one milliliter of sesame oil weekly, the results show that from the start of Phase 1 to the conclusion of Phase 2, these participants lost an average of 5 kilograms. At the same time, these participants lost an average of 0.3 kilograms of lean body mass. Now, looking from Phase 2 to the conclusion of Phase 3, the total body mass of those receiving testosterone weekly increased by an average of 3.5 kilograms. At the same time, lean body mass increased by an average of 2.7 kilograms. Looking from Phase 2 to the conclusion of Phase 3 in the control group, the results show that total body mass increased by 3.2 kilograms, while lean body mass increased by 2.5 kilograms.
