Matt Klingenberg and Aaron Kuczynski from Valley Point Church share announcements about Summer Family Nights, Men's Camp, a barbecue cookout, and celebrating gospel conversations. They emphasize the importance of community, worship, and spreading the gospel. The church aims for 10,001 gospel conversations by 2026 and has already reached 2,000. Members are encouraged to participate and share their experiences. Various events are planned to foster fellowship and spiritual growth among members. Hey, good morning Valley Point. I am Matt Klingenberg, the Interim Pastor here at Valley Point. And I'm Aaron Kuczynski, I'm the Associate Pastor here. And we got some announcements for you. Starting off, welcome to any of our newcomers. Please fill out a connection card if you're new here or text VIP or scan our QR code, but be sure and check with our Welcome Center to get your gift. Next we have Summer Family Nights. Aaron, what is that? Well, Summer Family Nights is every Tuesday starting July 22nd. We're really close at 6 o'clock. We're all going to come together as a church and have dinner. There's going to be different classes. I know I'm really excited about one of the five classes that we're offering is for parents. If you're a parent and you always had questions, how can I be the best parent possible, Richard and Sarah Coles are heading that class up. And we're just really excited for especially all the young family parents that are new to Valley Corner. Maybe you've been here for a long time and you just have lingering questions about how can I make the most of the season I'm in as a parent. So we're really excited and hope everybody can make it to that. It is $30 for a family, and that covers all four. We defer $10 if you're just an individual. And why do we do that, Matt? Well, we do that because we are serving food on Tuesday nights. It's going to be awesome food. And we've had such a big success with this program. Every year we have lots of people sign up, and we want to be able to keep doing it. So shout out Tina and Richard who are doing our food and their teams that are working with us. That's $30 per family or $10 per individual. And registration is open. We have a really exciting event coming up that we do every year as well. It's the last day of July. It's a Thursday, and it's men's camp. And it goes until Saturday, which is August 2nd. If you've never been to a men's camp, there's a great speaker that does a lot of work in Africa and all over the world. And he's going to give a great opportunity for us men to hear the gospel, to read and challenge us as men to be the men God called us to be. And on top of that, there's just wonderful fellowship between the Marshallese that are coming and English and many other churches that are a part of this. We love the Creech family. I love what they do to support men that are Christian. So if you're a man and you want to get signed up for this, you can go to our church center app again and register on the church center app. But you do need to pay $45 because there's a significant amount of meals, prizes that you can win, various things like this. And so if you can, take $45 either in a check or cash. You can put that in the offering box on the back left and just put your name and men's camp or you can get a hold again of any of the staff, me, Krista, any of the pastors, and give that to us and we'll make sure it goes to the right place so that you can come and make sure you bring up your son if you have a kid or if you can bring up Ryan. We'd love as many peaceful people to come to this as possible. Very kid-friendly. They have archery and floating the river, axe-throwing, cornhole, ton of fun. It is. Shooting far out now, at the end of August, August 31st, between 4 and 9 p.m., the church is doing a barbecue cookout at Terrace View Park. We ask everybody to bring a side, but the main dish is going to be provided. We have a lot to celebrate at Valley Point Church. In fact, we've had a lot of gospel conversation, and one thing that we need to remember is that celebration is an act of worship. And so we're going to the park and, of course, we want to have a good meal, but this is our time as a church to get together and truly celebrate what God has done so far this year in our church, people being saved, people being baptized, the gospel being spread into the community of Spokane. So come, bring that side dish if you can. It's going to be from 4 o'clock to 9 o'clock, and that is a Sunday afternoon. We'd love to see you there, have some games, play some music, and the baseball field, of course, is there as well. So make sure you bring a lot of energy as well. Speaking of gospel conversations, as you know, our church is dedicated to doing 10,001 gospel conversations between last Easter and next Easter in 2026. So far, I am super excited to say that we are at 2,000 gospel conversations that we've done as a church. It is something to be celebrated, everyone. And 500 of those gospel conversations actually happened a couple weeks ago during VBS. So that is something to be really celebrated. You guys did an awesome job. Yes, seriously, great job. Everybody who served, everybody who participated in that. Our gospel conversations, if you had a gospel conversation this week, grab a bouncing ball for every conversation you had about Jesus, who he is, his death and resurrection, the transformation that gospel brings. Come on up right now and go ahead and log your guys' count for what you have. Remember, one of the reasons we do this, Matt, is that Jesus said, let your light shine before men, and no one takes a candle and puts it under a bushel. But the scripture, Jesus teaches us that instead we take our light and we put it on a hilltop. We want people to know and celebrate what God is doing in every conversation we have this year. So it's an exciting thing. Thank you guys for participating. This week we want to invite Jay Bemis, who's been leading our men's ministry the last month, to come on up and pray over us this morning and read a scripture. Thank you, Jay.
