Hebrews-Confident of Better Things

Hebrews speaks to weary believers who are tempted to drift, shrink back, or abandon confidence in Jesus. Its warnings are severe, yet they are not the whole message. The letter also announces the lasting achievement of Christ’s sacrifice, the transforming promises of the new covenant, God’s sworn faithfulness, and a hope that enters the heavenly sanctuary. Its pastoral burden is therefore neither careless security nor paralyzing uncertainty.
