Hello, you're tuned to Resonance. I'm Ilya Rogachevsky and this is Midnight Echoes, a monthly mix of ambient, post-classical, drone, field recordings, internet ephemera and so on. If it's long and moody, there's a good chance that I'll end up playing it here. We begin the show with a track called Criss Crossing by Hans Joachim Rodelius of Cluster Harmonia fame, an American composer Tim Story. The track is from their album of prepared piano pieces called Four Hands. The album's coming out on the 20th of January via Raise Tapes. Coming up, we have a show mostly of artists who have used field recordings in their compositions, but not exclusively. I might throw in a few red herrings, too. I'm going to pop back to say hello about halfway through, and then once more at the end. Until then, thanks for tuning in, and I'll see you next time. Thanks for tuning in, and I'll see you next time. Thanks for tuning in, and I'll see you next time. Thanks for tuning in, and I'll see you next time. Thanks for tuning in, and I'll see you next time. We're coming to the end of the show, but before I go, I'll tell you what we've been listening to. In the second half, we had a little bit of Zelia Noble, with dense cover, followed by Camille Mandocchi, Dreams and Bells, and then a little bit of Alex Green, with Praha, Hlavni, Nedrazi. And then I mixed a little bit of Chris Watson train sounds, from a track called El Divisadero, underneath Oils, with Brook. Right now we're listening to Kendra Van Harten, Noah Georgeson, with A Sewer Cave. I'm going to close the show with Everything, by Max Cooper, which is from the album Unspoken Words. That's coming out on the 25th of March 2022, via MESH. If you haven't heard of Max Cooper, he's a really interesting electronic musician, who also happens to have a PhD in computational biology. Each track on the record is really different, and Max takes in everything from ambient textures to glitch and jungle. The track I'll be playing is kind of almost upbeat, which is unusual for the show, but it's great nonetheless. I'll be back next month, so tune in again, on the third Wednesday, for more.
