This is a summary of a podcast episode where the host discusses his top 10 favorite matches from Wrestlemania. He mentions that Wrestlemania has had both good and bad moments, but each event has had its special moments. He starts by mentioning some honorable mentions before diving into his top 10 matches. He talks about the importance and influence of wrestlers like Macho Man Randy Savage and discusses specific matches that stood out to him, such as the Intercontinental Heavyweight Championship match between Gunther, McIntyre, and Sheamus at Wrestlemania 39 Night 2. He also mentions the tag team championship match between Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens at Wrestlemania 39 Night 1. He then highlights the iconic match between Randy Macho Man Savage and Ricky the Dragon Steamboat at Wrestlemania 3 in 1987. The host emphasizes the importance of storytelling in wrestling matches and how it has evolved over the years. Oh man, this is one of my favorite songs listening to growing up because I truly know it is Wrestlemania Weekend and it is the old school version of the WWE's Welcome to Wrestlemania moment. Welcome everyone to a very special edition of the Y-Sports Podcast, it's your boy Alvin Spain and today we're going to go through our top 10 Wrestlemania matches. I have been a fan of wrestling for as long as I can remember. I have been blessed to see all 39 Wrestlemanias and I cannot wait for the 40th Wrestlemania that will take place starting this Saturday and I will say this, there's been some bad ones when you throw in Wrestlemania 9, 11 and they weren't very good but then there were some special ones, Wrestlemanias like 17, 19, 30 and even quite frankly this most recent Wrestlemania but within them all, they've all had their special moments, they've all had something you can take away from and just feel so proud to be a wrestling fan. Some Wrestlemanias have more moments than others but throughout this time here we're going to actually highlight my personal top 10 favorite, the matches that when I watch Wrestlemania or I can re-watch these matches from Wrestlemania over and over again and there were so many to choose from. So I initially lied to you all, I said this is top 10 but this will really be a top 11 because we do have some that are tied in the 10th position because quite frankly I had a hard time deciding which one is which and you'll hear throughout the list today that I'll give out my, in between my numbers and in between my rankings, I'll throw out some honorable mentions because even though they may not officially be a part of the list, these are also some very special Wrestlemania matches to me and even though they didn't make my top 10, I definitely wanted to shout them out because quite frankly they were magnificent. They were matches that I truly did enjoy throughout my year. So with that being said, we're going to first start our list with some honorable mentions and then we're going to hop in to number 10 and the two number 10s. So some of the ones that didn't initially make the list, the Slam Hurt Around the World, Andre the Giant versus Hulk Hogan from Wrestlemania 3 in Detroit, Michigan, this is definitely one of the biggest wrestling moments of all time. When you go to the WWE, even to this day, when you look at the opening monologue, that slam is there. This was the first big Wrestlemania moment that took place. It is something that inspired so many wrestling fans from all over the world to enjoy wrestling or to become a part of wrestling. It's one of the most special moments of all time. Another match that didn't make it for me so much was Wrestlemania 5 and I'm going to tell you something, and you will hear his name quite a lot through this list today, especially in the early part, but Macho Man Randy Savage was amazing and before Shawn Michaels, who we all affectionately and correctly know him as Mr. Wrestlemania, before Shawn Michaels did his thing, the Macho Man Randy Savage did his. With featured matches against the likes of Ricky Steamboat, Ted DiBiase, Hulk Hogan, The Ultimate Warrior, he was the epitome of what Wrestlemania was all about. He dressed like a champion, he dressed like a superstar, he looked like a superstar, he performed like a superstar on the brightest lights you could possibly have. I love the Macho Man Randy Savage and one of the things I learned when I was doing this list is how unbelievably influential he was to the early stages of Wrestlemania. I just can't say enough about him and his amazing work and again, you will hear his name mentioned in this list today. So with that being said, let us get started with 10A on my list of the best Wrestlemania matches of all time. This takes place in the most recent Wrestlemania, Wrestlemania 39 Night 2 for the Intercontinental Heavyweight Championship and you talk about heavyweights, Gunther, McIntyre, Sheamus was amazing. You weren't hearing guns, you were actually hearing chops from Drew McIntyre and Gunther. I love this match, I love the story that was building up to it, ultimately this story started from the year before in the Clash of the Castle when Sheamus was trying to become the ultimate Grand Slam Champion in the WWE. He has won literally everything from Royal Rumbles to King of the Rings, the only thing he has never won was the Intercontinental Championship. That matchup he had with Gunther in the Clash of the Castle could have very easily been the match of the year. It was just as physical as you can ever imagine. You come into Wrestlemania, I think a lot of people expected the rematch, instead you got a triple threat with Drew McIntyre and I will tell you something, there has been a lot of great Wrestlemania triple threats, this may be the best triple threat match that wasn't for a world championship. This matchup for the Intercontinental title, it was absolutely phenomenal and if you haven't heard me on other podcasts say this, I think Gunther is going to be the next big star in the WWE as far as, he can perform at any match, any time, he is becoming so much better on the mic and you mix that in with his unbelievable ring acumen, he is just, I cannot wait, he defends the Intercontinental title this Sunday against Sami Zayn and it's going to be a match that's going to be awesome because Sami Zayn is awesome, Gunther is awesome, I don't expect anything less from this match. But there is just something about Gunther that he to me is the most, and I said this last year when I gave my wrestler of the year, he was only second to Rhea Ripley, there is something about Gunther that just makes me want to stop and watch every match he has ever had, may it be in the WWE with the Ilja Dragunov, may it be in the Independence with Will Ospreay, Gunther is amazing, this matchup at Wrestlemania if you have not seen it, it is one of the most physical matchups you will ever see at a Wrestlemania and it was for the Intercontinental Championship, Gunther of course retained as he is still on his legendary only reign as Intercontinental Champion and this matchup put him on the map for wrestling fans to witness the world over how awesome he is. So that takes us to 10B and we just talked about Sami Zayn, he is in our 10B selection, it was the main event of Wrestlemania 39 night 1, it had one of the best storylines ever going into a match and it is just one of the most special moments in Wrestlemania history, it is the first time ever a tag team championship main evented any night in Wrestlemania and it was so worth the wait because this matchup was special. It was one of the coolest moments ever as a wrestling fan for me, I was actually watching this with my family last year and just to be, I had never seen anything like this before and I am such a huge fan of all four of these men for the longest time, I have loved the Usos since they debuted in the WWE, ironically after Wrestlemania 26, they came about, so that was like 2010 and for the longest time they were struggling just to get on a Wrestlemania card and now in Wrestlemania 39 they were the feature of that night, it was one of the coolest nights ever, to watch their entrance down the ring was amazing, to see Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens walk down together after the storyline that brought them together, Sami a month removed having one of the most emotional matches of all time competing for the WWE championship in his hometown of Montreal, this was a legitimate fantastic moment in Wrestlemania history and of course night two, Cody lost the title so we didn't get two great, two happy endings of the night but this night was special from the match, from the story they told to get to this point, it was absolutely amazing, when Sami first hit Roman with the chair and after he and Jay finally got cool and then Jay attacked Sami, Sami is asking for help to get Kevin Owens back on his side and when they got together it was one of the best moments ever and it led to one of the greatest Wrestlemania matches of all time and at least in my opinion it is tied for the 10th best match of all time, those are some of the, and again those will be the most recent Wrestlemania matches you will see and I think it's ironic when we take a look at these matches 5 years from now how perspective may change, again when you look at Gunther's Intercontinental title reign, we may look at this match as the start of something unbelievably special and when you look at the Usos tag title match and to me they're the greatest tag team in WWE history, I think you put them in the Mount Rushmore as one of the greatest tag teams of all time and for them to have that Wrestlemania moment, when we look at this 5 years from now I may even have this a little bit higher just in perspective because I don't think we'll never get a tag team title match to main event at Wrestlemania again and you couldn't have it unless you have the characters of the Usos, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. That takes us to now number 9 on our list, to me number 9 is one of the most important influential matches in wrestling history, it is without a shadow of a doubt the blueprint to what we see today in modern wrestling, it is considered by many Wrestlemania's first great match, I take you to Detroit Michigan 1987 Wrestlemania 3 for the Intercontinental Heavyweight Championship, Randy Macho Man Savage vs. Ricky the Dragon Steamboat. It is one of my favorite matches of all time, when I look at this match and I see the matches that have superseded it over the years, when I think about Ospreay and Omega, when I think about Michaels and Kurt Angle, when I think about Omega and Okada, I go back and I remember this match and people talk about how legendary the match was and rightfully so but it is the story that comes through that sometimes get lost but it just made this so much better, for me as a wrestling fan this was like really the first story line especially long term, I got really hooked in, really invested in, when a Macho Man Randy Savage was on a Superstars edition back in 1986, he ran the steel bell right in the throat of Ricky the Dragon Steamboat and then he draped Steamboat's throat over the guard rail and he did his double axe handle, Steamboat was out for months and then Steamboat comes fighting back, angry at the Saturday Night State event, telling Savage I want you and I want you for that Intercontinental Championship, it was the first time ever as a wrestling fan I felt really invested in the story line because when Steamboat went out I was like oh my god he must be gone forever but when he came back and they brought this, they brought that all back together, to me it really introduced story telling in the world of wrestling, I know there were great stories before hand but I'm just thinking more so from my perspective, this was a tremendous story from beginning to end and the match itself, the quickness of the match, the false finishes of this match, it is what we set the standard for as we look at wrestling all these years later, again that was WrestleMania 3, here we are at WrestleMania 40, 37 years later this match up will probably never be forgotten in the annals of history, I only wish that especially in this reflective years when we get to see wrestlers get to rewatch these matches with each other, I really wished we got to see Steamboat and Savage watch this match together and get their comments, the Macho Man Randy Savage left us far too soon but we are all, I know I'm eternally grateful because he gave us this classic match, it is my number 9 match of all time, Ricky the Dragon Steamboat defeating the Macho Man Randy Savage to become the World Wrestling Federation Intercontinental Heavyweight Champion. So right now we're back up to number 8 on the countdown and again writing this list was so hard but when I think about number 8, I think about the true power of the fan and how much fans truly do have the power to affect a wrestling match. For this one I take you to Toronto, Canada, I take you to WrestleMania 18, Icon vs. Icon. It was the first big victory for The Rock at WrestleMania who up to that point only had a reversal, well his biggest win to that point was when he was facing The Sultan in WrestleMania 13. So you can tell my man has moved up quite a bit from that point on. It was Builder's Icon vs. Icon, it was supposed to be Stone Cold Steve Austin, instead we got one of the most dynamic fan reactions in a match and it was The Rock vs. The Sultan. So you can tell my man has moved up quite a bit from that point on. It was Builder's Icon vs. Icon, it was supposed to be Stone Cold Steve Austin, instead we got one of the most dynamic fan reactions in a match and it really did show the power of the fans that night. It was in Toronto, Canada where Hogan had his other memorable WrestleMania match with The Ultimate Warrior in WrestleMania 6 and Hogan was full NWO Hollywood Hogan heel. He actually ran a truck into an ambulance where The Rock was. Hogan was meant to be heel on this match but when the match started Hulk Hogan was absolutely cheered and revered like we were back in the red and yellow days. It was one of the most interesting things I had ever seen and being a Rock fan I was looking at Toronto like what the hell are y'all doing? Why are you cheering this man? But it just showed the power of Hulkamania. While I may not agree with Hulk Hogan now on certain things and everything else like that I cannot ignore, I will never ignore the absolute power that he had and he was truly one of wrestling's greatest icons of all time and for this match to happen the way it did, the match itself may not go down as a classic in the way of a Dave Meltzer five star or anything else like that but when you talk about Wrestlemania moments and when you talk about the Wrestlemania feel, like you couldn't have this match at the Royal Rumble, you couldn't have this match at SummerSlam. This felt like a Wrestlemania match to the point a lot of people will still argue that this should have main evented Wrestlemania 18. Let me be one of those that are on the favor of this should have main evented Wrestlemania 18. The match was what it was but it's going to be remembered so much more for how the crowd basically made Hogan a face. The handshake that came after, I don't think was talked about prior to the match but Hogan shaking The Rock's hand and then the NWO, Scott Hall, rest in peace brother, Kevin Nash, they started to attack Hulk Hogan. The Rock was like, I ain't having that. He was right there defending the Hulkster and then when they shook hands at the end of the night, it was indeed one of the most powerful moments in Wrestlemania history and it truly showed the power of Hulkamania and it was truly icon versus icon. The Rock coming away with the victory in this matchup but it was a moment in Wrestlemania folklore. It's a moment that got felt again at the start of Wrestlemania 30 when you had The Rock, Hogan and Austin share the ring at the same time. It's like literally you're looking at Mount Rushmore live and in living color in the ring that night at Wrestlemania 30. So with that, let's go to Wrestlemania, let's go to Wrestlemania 10 for our 7th pick and I will preface this by saying this, I love my older brother Malcolm Spain but brother, this matchup made me realize little brothers can't do it to the big brothers. There's a big difference between a big brother and a little brother. It's not a big brother, it's a little brother. Owen Hart is one of my favorite wrestlers. He's a great guy, he's a great wrestler of all time. I miss Owen Hart to this day. I cannot believe it will be 25 years since he passed away. Actually, that now brings a tear to my eye a little bit. I love Owen Hart and I love this match. Not only because it was such an awesome match, it kicked off Wrestlemania 10 in Madison Square Garden. Bret Hart later on that night would go on to win the World Wrestling Federation Championship but it was on that match, it was everything that just felt right at the time, just watching it as a younger brother and just teasing Malcolm like, I told you Owen could do it! But it truly showed the unselfish nature of Bret Hart because in that night, Owen Hart became a star. Owen Hart literally, and Jerry Lawler said it best, he leaped out at Bret Hart's shadow that night and the WWE had itself another star that night. It still got to celebrate their star, Bret the Hitman Hart, but Owen Hart became a star on this night. The match was phenomenal and it would go on to later tell again one of the best show line stories in Wrestlemania history. How was Bret Hart going to overcome the loss to his brother and a hurt knee to beat the 550 pound Yokozuna to become the World Wrestling Federation Champion? And he was able to overcome it all and to become the champion. And at the end of the night, Owen thought the night was all about him but when people celebrated Bret, Owen just looked up in the ring and said, what about me? And it was such a great moment that you knew that you had to watch Raw the next night or you had to watch Wrestlemania to see how they were going to continue that story. Again, Owen Hart along with Eddie Guerrero and The Rock are probably my three favorite wrestlers of all time and I've already lost Owen and Eddie. Owen didn't have a lot of other Wrestlemania moments after this. The following year he got to tag up with Yokozuna to become the tag team champion and to me, I always thought he would have had more moments because he was such a phenomenal wrestler and an amazing character. And I miss him to this day and I would be remiss if I didn't include this matchup, not only for what it meant for little brothers all across the world, but what it meant to me as a wrestling fan because it was the first time I really cheered for a heel. And I love Bret Hart. I love the hitman Bret Hart. I would walk to school like him, lay my hands out, have my sunglasses, but I was all about Owen. I was all about Owen Hart that day. Long live The Rock, baby. And that is my number seven pick for greatest Wrestlemania matches of all time. Actually, I guess not greatest, but definitely my favorite. The countdown continues with my number six favorite match of all time. And before we go into it, let me do highlight that this matchup actually means a little something to me. And just watching it live and watching the ultimate, the importance of this match. It is, now again, I do need to feel, I feel like I need to shout out the ladies because this is a ladies entry and please don't be mad at me. It is my only ladies entry in this, but I do want to shout out some honorable mentions. Wrestlemania 32, Charlotte, Becky and Sasha were the best match on the night in Wrestlemania 32. And it, again, it officially ended the divas reign or whatever it was. And it became the world, the WWE women's champion that night with Charlotte winning. Then we go to Wrestlemania 35, the first time ever women main evented Wrestlemania. Becky, Rhonda and Charlotte made history on that night. That being said, and there are, I mean, I could even include the matches from Wrestlemania 39, including Charlotte and Rhea Ripley, which that matchup was amazing. And that probably could have been tied with number 10 too. But my number six pick, um, is about history. It's for the first time ever, two African Americans may have ended a night of Wrestlemania when it made its way to two African American Queens. Ladies and gentlemen, Bianca Belair, Sasha Banks at number six. Oh my God! How is Banks even functioning? Bianca wanted the KOD. And now Banks, Sasha wanted the backstabber, but Bianca too strong. And Bianca round and round they go. Now Belair powering Banks up. KOD! No way! No way! Let me preface this by saying this. The build to this matchup was terrible. It just wasn't good. Bianca won the Royal Rumble back in 2021. And it just was very, it was very choppy how they built to this match. That being said, when it got to the match, it was, it was special. You can see it on the looks of Bianca and Sasha when they were introduced to the ring and it took them a minute to really bring it in. This was the first big event that happened, you know, during the COVID pandemic. 25,000 people got to enter Tampa Bay to watch this match. And I can only imagine what that moment would have been like if all of Raymond James Stadium was filled and packed that night. It was a special match. The match was amazing. And it would be the first of Bianca's first of three legendary matches. In 38, she got to go against the man, Becky Lynch, in a matchup that quite frankly could have been on a twist too. That matchup was amazing. And then you're seeing what she did in WrestleMania 39 with Asuka. This year, she's in a six-man tag with Jade Cargill and Naomi against Damage Control. Asuka, Dakota Kai, and, oh no, I'm blanking on the third name. Kairi Sane, thank you. Master of that amazing elbow. Bianca Belair has literally taken this matchup and has been launched to Superstar. And she couldn't have done that without Sasha Banks, who for my money is one of the greatest female wrestlers of all time. It was the boss. It was the EST. And it was WrestleMania 37, night one. It was indeed an amazing match. So that takes us now to number five on our countdown. And again, I'd be remiss to not include some honorable mentions on this one. So for WrestleMania 22, from WrestleMania 22, Rey Mysterio, Randy Orton, and Kurt Angle for the World Heavyweight Championship. The match only lasted 10 minutes, but this matchup was so special because Rey Mysterio became champion and dedicated it to Eddie Guerrero, who passed away in November of 2005. So in WrestleMania 22, the first WrestleMania since, it was indeed a very special moment for Eddie Guerrero fans, for Rey Mysterio fans. And to see Eddie's widow, Vickie, along with Eddie's nephew, Chavo, up there to see Rey Mysterio was a very cool moment to watch. WrestleMania 21, Undertaker versus RKO. And maybe you're picking up a theme on where my number five is going to go. This matchup was beautiful. This was a great matchup. WrestleMania 21 is like one of those hidden gems of really good WrestleMania because another match from that same WrestleMania was Kurt Angle and Shawn Michaels. And I mean, if I had a top 20 list, they would probably both be on that list. It was The Undertaker's first legitimate threat to having a streak ending and Shawn Michaels and Kurt Angle was just a legitimate, amazing match. But no disrespect to those matches. WrestleMania 5 is based out of WrestleMania, it comes from WrestleMania 30. Now when you think WrestleMania 30, the first thing you probably think about is Lesnar ending the streak of The Undertaker and the hush fell over the Mercedes dome, a Superdome in New Orleans. And it would only take one man, one moment, a yes moment, to bring back the spirit of New Orleans and truly watch history being made. The impossible dream has become reality. This was one of those WrestleMania moments that I still think about. It still gives me goose bumps. I love watching WrestleMania 30 because it literally gave you everything as a fan. Like, I would have never thought The Undertaker's streak would have ended that night. But Brock Lesnar looked dominant and he almost wondered, oh my god, how's the rest of this gonna go? WrestleMania 30 started with Daniel Bryan taking on Triple H and the winner of that matchup was gonna join Randy Orton and Dave Bautista for the World Heavyweight Championship match later on the night. Daniel Bryan, of course, wins that matchup in a great matchup with Triple H and it set the stage for what you just heard. When we talk about why we love sports so much, this is another why sports moment. When you get to see somebody like Daniel Bryan, somebody I've been a fan of since his days of Ring of Honor, when he was Bryan Danielson, when he was the American Dragon, and having legendary matches with so many great wrestlers, including Nigel McGuinness, and when you get to see that come to fruition in 2014 at WrestleMania 30, and he becomes the World Heavyweight Champion, where, and again, Michael Cole, who was so great on McCall, it was a miracle on Berlin Street. It was a moment, again, where you saw how the fans dictated this is who they really wanted. This was the champion we all wanted. I go back to that Monday Night Raw when the Occupy Yes Movement took place and Daniel Bryan held his ground until he got his matchup at WrestleMania. And it is a moment that it will still be revered to this day. Even as Daniel Bryan competes now in AEW as Bryan Danielson, this moment gets looked at still for what it was. It was one of the greatest wrestling moments of all time. And it only could have happened at WrestleMania. The Yes Movement was alive and well. And to steal a word from Jerry, the King Lawler, it was indeed Yes-o-mania. And now we're at number four on the WrestleMania countdown list, and this matchup is considered by many one of the greatest matches of all time. I take you to WrestleMania 25, Houston, Texas, and literally a battle of legends. Here it comes in for me. Michael's in the air. Michael's caught. Michael's caught. Michael's caught. Michael's caught. Michael's caught. Michael's caught. Michael's caught. Michael's caught. Michael's caught. Michael's caught. Michael's caught. Michael's caught. Michael's caught. Michael's caught. Michael's caught. Michael's caught. Michael's caught. Michael's caught. Michael's caught. Michael's caught. Michael's caught. Michael's caught. The Undertaker goes 17 and 0 as he defeats Shawn Michaels in what is just simply known as one of the greatest WrestleMania matches of all time. There's just so much to say about this one. To me, this felt like the WWE's, at that time, the greatest match they have ever produced. I just, I love everything about this match. From the rivalry that started all the way back in 97, these two were the first literally in the hell in the south. And they brought that up a little bit during this rise to the rivalry. Now, how he got here, Shawn Michaels before, like a month before, was just serving JBL, coming off as destitute, but fortunately he got past that storyline and got set for one of the greatest matches of all time. And their entrances were so awesome too. Shawn Michaels ascending from heaven. The Undertaker ascending, I'm sorry, let me rephrase that. Shawn Michaels descending from heaven. The Undertaker ascending from hell. And it was a match built as the power of the light versus the power of the darkness. But when these two men came together, it was absolutely amazing. And again, as stated earlier, their rivalry starts all the way back in 97 as being members of the first members of the hell in a cell match. And then it just transcended to two of the greatest WrestleMania matches of all time. WrestleMania 25, which is my personal favorite. And then you had WrestleMania 26, where you had the stakes of the streak versus the career and correctly Mena vaning WrestleMania 26. This match did not reign in WrestleMania 25, but it's still one of the greatest matches of all time. This is also the match that made me kind of discredit Dave Meltzer's list. Because, and again, he'll go on and ramble about things, but this is not a Dave Meltzer bashing. But how this match did not get five stars and only got 4.75. Again, to me, that kind of discredits your list a little bit. Because I would love to know, did you make such an emphasis to not give it a five and give it a 4.75? What, in your opinion, was missing for this to be a perfect match? But then you see other matches, which rightfully so, should get it. Like the Omegas and the Okadas and things of that nature. But this matchup was perfect. From the two legends that have defined WrestleMania in this modern era, between The Undertaker's streak and Shawn Michaels, just being Mr. WrestleMania, because he would be the match that everybody would remember. But these two men were just awesome. And the fact that I got a chance to watch them in 97, and the fact that I got a chance to watch them all these years later, in 2009 in WrestleMania XXV and then again in 2010 in WrestleMania VI, these are two of the greatest wrestlers of all time. And it was just so awesome to see their match. Number four on my list. Number three on my list is a personal one. Because quite frankly, it brought me back into wrestling. For number three, I take you to WrestleMania XXXV at MetLife Stadium. MetLife Stadium. Kofi measuring the champion. Kofi! Kofi did it! Kofi did it! Kofi did it! The Kofi Champion! Here is your winner, and the new WWE Champion, Kofi Kingston! Everything about this match, just as a fan, I couldn't have asked for anything else. Somebody who I was invested in, somebody who I loved since he initially came into the WWE around the 2007-2008 timeframe. And to a guy, I would never have thought would have been in a situation where he would compete for a championship. After WrestleMania XXXIV, I was done. I know a lot of people actually like XXXIV. I did not. I did not like the fact that Charlotte beat Asuka in the street because I really thought they should have focused on Asuka. I think one of the worst WrestleMania main events of all time took place. It was Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns. I was done. I had literally checked out. But then came around the time of the Elimination Chamber in February of 2019. Kofi Kingston was making an appearance and he had such a great showing. And then the power of the Saiyans would not let Kofi go to the side. And I am so glad his opponent in this match was Daniel Bryan, who is one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, who five years earlier had already himself one of the greatest WrestleMania stories. And he was the heel. And I loved how he said, Kofi, you are a B-plus player, just like he was called. And Daniel made himself the perfect enemy for Kofi Kingston, where you would figure he would be his biggest supporter because he was just like him. But it was a story that was so great. And then to see all the gauntlet matches that Kofi had to go through just to get this shot. To see the matches that the New Day themselves, Big E and Xavier Woods, had to go through just to get Kofi to get this shot at WrestleMania. And then to remember watching all the men and women watching in the gorilla position to see Kofi have his moment. It was absolutely amazing. And WrestleMania 35 for me was a one-match show. And I know the historic women's triple threat was on that card, and that match was great. But quite frankly, it was only about one match for me. It was about Kofi Kingston and Daniel Bryan. And Kofi Kingston that day becoming the new WWE champion. But it was the moment to see all of Netlife Stadium, all the wrestlers just being so happy for such a unified moment. And I know his title reign may go down as not one of the best or what have you, but it will indeed go down as one of the greatest wrestling moments of all time. Number three, Kofi Kingston defeating Daniel Bryan to become the WWE champion. My number two match on my favorite WrestleMania matches list comes from Chicago, Illinois. It comes from WrestleMania 13. Not a lot of people's favorite WrestleMania. And they literally do call it a one-match show. But quite frankly, it could be the most influential match in WWE history. I can't understand. Jim Samrock stopping it. Stopping it right now. That's it. Go, go, Steve Austin. Austin's had enough. Austin is unconscious. Austin never gave up. Austin never gave up. But he's had enough. What a pain. Austin is out. This match showed me so much about the wrestling world. Bully Ray says it best on Busted Open. You don't have to be a professional wrestler to be able to do that. You don't have to be a professional wrestler to be able to do that. You don't have to be a professional wrestler to be able to do that. You don't have to be a professional wrestler to be able to do that. You don't have to be a professional wrestler to be able to do that. You don't have to be a professional wrestler to be able to do that. You don't have to be a professional wrestler to be able to do that. You don't have to be a professional wrestler to be able to do that. You don't have to be a professional wrestler to be able to do that. You don't have to be a professional wrestler to be able to do that.
