Nothing to say, yet
Nothing to say, yet
To know God is to please Him. We need faith in Him and must exercise and rest in it. God created man for His pleasure, and He wants us to seek Him and be close to Him. We were made in God's image, and He equips us with faith. His word enters through our senses and reflects back to Him. Our senses can be used by Satan, so we must guard them with faith. God desires to be close to us again if we surrender to Him and let Him change us. To know him is to please him, part two. We know that faith in him really gets his attention. We talked about, number one, recognizing that God has dealt to every man a measure of faith. Number two, we must continue to build on the gift of faith by exercising it. And number three, learning to rest. Why did God make us? God made man for his own pleasure. God created man in his own image. In the image of God created he him, male and female, created he them, Genesis chapter 1. God made the first man Adam and said, this is good. Then God made Eve, the first woman, for the man and said, this is very good. From the beginning of time, God's intention was and still is to be close to his creation. He is like a father who sees himself in us. When we are blessed and have offspring, we are so delighted and affirmed when we see ourselves in our children. As time goes on, they change and begin to resemble us, the parents or relatives. All parents happily claim, that's my child, until they do something to embarrass us, right? After God created Adam and then Eve, he gave them dominion over it and instructed them to dress and keep the garden of Eden. God showed them how to replenish the earth. Wow! They were given authority over every living thing in creation. From the beginning of time to now and through eternity, God will always love and take care of his children. All God wants is for us, his creation, to seek him, get to know him, worship him and be with him throughout eternity. This will truly please him. I am sure that God equipped our first parents with the same gifts of faith that he has given to everyone who has ever been born. This includes me and you. God is the same yesterday, today and forever and he changes not. He did not leave them fatherless or ill-equipped. They had everything they needed to have complete dominion over every creeping thing, plant and animal. The glory of God was on them because the word said they were made in the image of God. They were filled with faith. I know because that pleases him. They had God's anointing which helped them to be able to live in the presence of God. God's servant Moses knew God. God knew his name according to Exodus chapter 33. Moses spent time in the presence of God but could not look upon him face to face. Yes, God made man for his own pleasure. Man, I believe, is the greatest creation. We were carefully and wonderfully made. According to Genesis 2 and 7, in the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and man became a living soul. God made man a tri-part being. Our soul is made up of our mind, will and emotions. Our body is this house of clay made from the dust of the earth and lastly, our spirit which originated from God lives in our body. Taking the word of God and letting it enter through our senses when God made man. Let God enter into your senses. First, the eyes, our eyes. If you are a child of God, you have given permission for his spirit to live in your spirit. When we take in the word of God through our eye gate, point of entry, it's like a camera that marks an image on our mind, heart and spirit. When we read this word, it is like a reflection back on God who lives in us. The word of God which is in him bears witness within our spirit which belongs to God. God's word is God. It expresses who and what he is. He delights in seeing himself in his creation. It all points back to him. The mouth, the scripture found in the book of Isaiah, chapter 55 and 11, so shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth, it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please and it shall prosper in the thing whereof I sent it. Let his word find a lodging place into your heart. Matthew chapter 12, verse 34, Jesus speaks about whatever is in a person's heart in abundance. The mouth will speak it out. If there are good things going forth out of your mouth, it's coming from your heart. Good will come out of your mouth. His word is quick and powerful than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing thunder of soul and spirit and of the joints and marrow and is a discerner of the thoughts and intent of the heart. We are his children and we can expect him to be on time whenever we need him and call on him. Exercise your God kind of faith and believe that he is and he will. When we got saved from our self-reliance and sin, we exercised our faith in Romans chapter 10. It speaks about confessing with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead. You will be saved for with the heart one believes and is justified and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. We are using our mouth. The ears, then we hear his word with our ears straight to the point. Faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God. This also puts an imprint on our minds that cannot be erased. Matthew 11, 15, Jesus says, If you have ears to hear, let them hear what he is saying to us. It finds a lodging place in our spirits forever. Seek for the eyes, the mouth and ears to be guided and guarded by faith in God. These senses work closely together and Satan, the enemy of our souls, will try to use these senses to get us off track with God and his plan for our lives. God is the author and finisher of our faith. He must allow the Holy Spirit to build and strengthen this foundation to our personal relationship with him. Staying close to God will only help us to keep our heart with all diligence, for out of it springs the issues of life, Proverbs 4, 23. Getting back to Adam and Eve, our first parents, they were created by God and were given a measure of faith in him that all their needs were met, I believe that, however, but that one day came when Satan got so bold and rose up and began to speak through a serpent, in my imagination, maybe Eve was caught off guard. He began to deal with Eve on her soul level, which lies our minds and our will and emotions. That is the only level that Satan can enter in and tempt us with uncertainty, doubt, and fear. Doubt and unbelief in who her father God was began to creep into her soul. Her curiosity was aroused and was acted upon, to the point of convincing Adam to question as well. Remember God is with you right now. Put a spiritual sign up that says to the enemy, access denied, Satan I close my eyes, my mouth, and my ears off from you, and you are not allowed to use me in any way, form, or fashion in Jesus name. God desires to be close again to his creation and it can happen for all of us if we relinquish our own will, abide in him, and let him abide in us. Allow God to change us into what he desires. That is all for today. We will continue next time. Let's have a word of prayer. Father God, we love you so much. Continue to open our eyes, our mouth, and ears to what you are saying to us today. We will actively guard our senses, help us to practice our wisdom in our daily lives. Our desire is to know you better each day and every day. We do thank you for the faith you have given and put into us. We do declare from everlasting to everlasting, you are God, we give you praise and glory in Jesus name, amen. Are you ready for your healthy tip for today? Sit in a comfortable, well-supported chair with feet flat on the floor or ground. Begin to shut out all noise and get your mind quiet on the Lord. Remember a time he was faithful to you and your family. Be thankful and let him know you love him. Our Father is ever present, this is Ingrisha Jordan. We thank Robin and Matthew Anderson on prayer and share, invitation to intercede, and prayer for our nation on Facebook and New Generation Christian Family Matters Podcast for making our presentation possible to you today. God bless you as our prayer.
