The devotion discusses the importance of living a life that honors God, using the story of Joseph as an example. Joseph faced temptation but remained faithful, leading to false accusations and imprisonment. However, God blessed him with favor and authority. The devotion encourages believers to stay committed to their faith, cultivate a relationship with God, surround themselves with like-minded believers, and trust in God's plan. The memory verse is Genesis 39:9b. Shalom Beloved, God wishly bless you for joining the Just End of Prayer time. We thank God for another day to spend time in His Word. Facilitating today's devotion is Charlotte Achanodoku from Harvest Chapel International, Denyami Kumasi. Let's kindly share a word of prayer. Father, we thank you for today. We pray that the entrance of your word brings light and understanding. In Jesus' name, Amen. Beloved, let's take our confession from Joshua chapter 1 verse 8. This book of the law shall not depart out of my mouth, but I shall meditate in it day and night, that I may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then I will make my way prosperous, and then I will have good success. Amen. Beloved, the topic for today's devotion is a life that honors God. Taken from Genesis chapter 39 verse 7 to 23. Genesis chapter 39 verse 7 to 23. And I read from the King James Version. And it came to pass after these things that his master's wife cast her eyes upon Joseph, and she said, Lie with me. But he refused and said unto his master's wife, Behold, my master would not what is with me in this house. And he had committed all that he had to my hand. There is none greater in this house than I. Neither had he kept back anything from me, but thee, because thou art his wife. How then can I do this great wickedness and sin against God? And it came to pass as he spake to Joseph day by day, that he harken not unto her to lie by her or to be with her. And it came to pass about this time that Joseph went into the house to do his business, and there was none of the men of the house there within. And she caught him by his garment saying, Lie with me. And he left his garment in her hand and fled and got him out. And it came to pass when she saw that he had left his garment in her hand and was led forth, that she called unto the men of her house and spake unto them saying, See, he had brought in an Hebrew unto us to mock us. He came in unto me to lie with me, and I cried with a loud voice. And it came to pass when he heard that I lifted up my voice and cried, that he left his garment with me and fled and got him out. And she laid up his garment by her until her lord came home. Then she spake unto him according to these words saying, The Hebrew servant which thou hast brought unto us came in unto me to mock me. And it came to pass as I lifted up my voice and cried, that he left his garment with me and fled out. And it came to pass when his master heard the words of his wife, which he spake unto him saying, After this manner did I say unto thee that his wrath was kindled. And Joseph's master took him and put him into prison, a place where the king's prisoners were bound. And he was there in the prison. But the Lord was with Joseph and showed him mercy and gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison. And the keeper of the prison committed to Joseph's hand all the prisoners that were in the prison. And whatsoever they did there, he was a doer of it. The keeper of the prison looked not to anything that was under his hand, because the Lord was with him. And that which he did, the Lord made it to prosper. Amen. A life that honors God Beloved, are you currently facing trials and tribulations for standing firm in your faith? Have you ever been tempted to compromise your beliefs and values to avoid persecution or opposition? It's easy to feel like you are alone in your struggles. But as believers, we are not alone. We can look to the story of Joseph for inspiration and encouragement. Joseph faced temptation from the sister portefer to go against God's will. But he did not give in to his fleshly desires. And instead, he remained committed to honoring God. As a result, he was falsely accused and imprisoned. But in his confinement, he continued to be faithful to God. He was blessed with God's presence and favor. And despite being in prison, he was able to rise to a position of great authority and influence. This shows the transformative power of God's presence in the life of someone who remains committed to honoring Him. Beloved, we too can experience the same blessing and favor if we will remain resolute in our conviction and stand firm in our faith, no matter what trials may come our way. It's not always easy, but the rewards of honoring God far outweigh any temporary discomfort or rejection we may face. To remain resolute in our faith, we must have a strong commitment to cultivating a deep and personal relationship with God through prayer, reading and obedience to the word, and fellowship with other believers. By staying connected to God, we can draw strength and inspiration to persevere through any challenge that comes our way. In addition, it's important to surround ourselves with like-minded believers who can encourage us and hold us accountable in our faith journey. We are not meant to walk in this path alone. Ultimately, remaining steadfast in faith is the daily choice to trust in God's plan and to live a life that honors Him. So let us choose to shine like the morning star and show the world what it truly means to be a fellow of Christ. May we be encouraged and strengthened by the example of Joseph and the promise of God's presence and favor in our lives as we remain steadfast in our faith. Amen. We'll take our memory verse from Genesis chapter 39, verse 9b. How then can I do this great wickedness and sin against God? Amen. Thank you so much, beloved. Let's kindly share a word of prayer. Father, we thank you for today's word. We pray for grace of God to remain steadfast in our faith and live a life that honors you. In Jesus' name. Amen. God wish He bless you, beloved, for staying through with us. Continue to stay tuned on Radio SCI for more Spirit-filled content. Shalom.
